See historic sites, enchanting towns, and breathtaking scenery on this holiday to an idyllic corner of southern Italy

Magically suspended between the blue sky and turquoise water, the Amalfi coast is a truly enchanting holiday destination, with colour-washed houses, bustling ports, and brightly blooming Bougainvillaea adorning the cliffs.

On this five or seven-night escape, you'll be based in the charming coastal village of Sant'Agata at the very tip of Italy's Sorrento Peninsula. Here you can enjoy the Amalfi coast at its finest as you kick back and soak in views across the Bay of Naples and the Bay of Salerno.

You'll be staying at the lovely Grand Hotel Due Golfi, where you can relax in the infinity pool** overlooking the sparkling waters of the Mediterranean and feast on Italian cuisine in the à la carte poolside restaurant or the guest-only Ristorante Due Golfi. The hotel has spectacular panoramic views, comfortable rooms, friendly staff and an excellent restaurant serving local specialities.

A full-day Amalfi Coast tour is included in your holiday. You'll be collected from your hotel for a panoramic drive along the Amalfi Coast, watching through the windows as you drive through one of the most beautiful landscapes in Europe. Your first stop will be Positano, where you'll have an hour to explore this famously pretty hillside village and wander its natural lemon, orange, and olive groves.

You'll then travel to the town of Amalfi through the idyllic villages of Praiano, Furore and Conca dei Marini. You'll have two hours in Amalfi, where you can discover its important place in history and mediaeval architecture. Your final stop is Ravello, a delightful mountaintop town where you can soak in the glorious panoramic views from the terraced gardens of Villa Rufolo.

The rest of your time in Italy is yours to spend as you wish, either relaxing in the hotel's sumptuous surroundings, exploring the local area independently, or finding the perfect balance of the two.

    Today you'll be picked up from the hotel for a full day's tour of the Amalfi Coast. Drive along some of the most scenic roads in Europe. You'll visit Positano, Amalfi, and drive through the idyllic villages of Praiano, Furore and Conca dei Marini to reach Ravello, your final stop.

    Return to the hotel in the evening to relax after a busy day.
