Castle House Hotel, Hereford, Herefordshire
Owned by local farming family the Watkins, the Castle House is a traditionally elegant hotel in a Grade II-listed Georgian villa and adjacent townhouse, with 24 classy rooms and suites, a bar and bistro and an excellent restaurant. The hotel is located in a quiet cul-de-sac in the centre of Hereford beside an ancient moat where otters have been known to frolic. Magnificent Hereford Cathedral with its famous Mappa Mundi is a short walk away, as is a wide selection of shops and restaurants.
