WHAT WE LOVE...

Previously a coaching inn during the 1700s, Two Bridges Hotel provides an oasis of friendly warmth amid one of the UK's most wild and dramatic landscapes. This Dartmoor hideaway is stunning on a summer's day, with glorious countryside all around, and equally magical on a chilly winter's evening as the mist descends - step into a welcoming lounge warmed by log fires and lit candles. The hotel provides a relaxed atmosphere with historic charm and the finest seasonal fare, with the kind of informality that makes it perfectly acceptable to kick off your walking boots in the front porch after a hearty hike on the moor. Relish the calm of this rural setting, with Devon heritage at its heart.

Style & Character

Suited to those with a love of the great outdoors as well as old school charm, looking for a peaceful stay in comfortable surrounds. We love the rich, warm style combined with all the decadence of a bygone era, but with an informal air about it.

Service & Facilities

It's hard to resist settling by an open fire with a local gin in hand, the ideal spot to while away an afternoon. Most of the bedrooms are dog friendly, where you will find a doggy gift pack on arrival, including a bowl, toys and tasty treats! Dogs are welcome in all the public areas, except the restaurant, with tables arranged in the bar area for guests who would like to dine with their pals. The hotel is also home to beautiful gardens for dogs to explore.

Rooms

We adore the Vivien Leigh room; where the star stayed at a Hunt Ball in 1931, and met her future husband, Leigh Holman. The large portraits and cinema posters adorning the walls really echo the glitz and glamour of the era.

Premier rooms, Historic rooms, Country rooms
Facilities include: ensuite bathroom, free toiletries, TV, seating area, tea and coffee facilities, free Wi-Fi

Food & Drink

The flavours here are to be savoured, with an emphasis on local ingredients, carefully prepared and presented with artistic flair. We'd re-order the local Creedy Carver duck with Cornish asparagus and wild garlic, followed up with a classic sticky toffee pudding, served the Devon way!

Tors restaurant: fine dining, seasonal dishes, local ingredients. Open for lunch and dinner. Three-course dinner £54.
Lounge and bar: light snacks and afternoon tea. 11am-4pm.
