WHAT WE LOVE...

Drenched in the kind of old-worldly decadence that transports you to a bygone era, the Imperial Hotel provides a memorable stay, where you can relax in luxury with river views, enjoying personable and warm service. Soak up the old-school grandeur of this Grade II-listed Edwardian building and allow the friendly staff to look after your needs. The service is excellent, and dining is an elegant treat. Stay in the heart of north Devon in a luxurious, characterful and calm space, with plenty of historical charm.

The Imperial is ideal for couples and families wanting a staycation during the seasonal months, as well as business travellers in need of a comfortable base. The foyer, with its bold colours and feature staircase, steals the show, adding to the elegant country house vibe.

An indulgent afternoon tea - with homemade scones, jam and clotted cream - is heavenly, enjoyed on the sun terrace with views over the river Taw. Dogs can join you in one of the eight dog-friendly rooms in the River Court building - a separate annex that welcomes well behaved dogs year-round.
