The Croatian coast has a glittering collection of islands and our first stop in this idyllic region is Vis - the furthest from the mainland and one of the least developed. We'll enjoy peace and quiet on its pebbly beaches and sample the crisp white wines made with the local vugava grape.
Our next stop is the Kornati Islands - a national park archipelago comprising 140 uninhabited islands and reefs where you can explore caves on land and have underwater adventures with a snorkel. Swimming here is spectacular, as the warm Adriatic is calm and crystal-clear.
We'll dock overnight in Zadar on the mainland, a city whose roots trace back to the 9th century. This will allow you plenty of time for exploring the city, enjoying its numerous wine bars and restaurants, or taking day trips out to the gorgeous Plitvice Lakes National Park.
Our voyage takes us to yet more secluded islands with lovely pebble beaches and forested hills ripe for walking, such as Molat and Losinj, and we'll finish with three dynamic cities: Pula with its Roman ruins, the fishing port of Rovinj and finally Venice, Italy. Here, you can explore the world-famous waterways and bridges, visit vast palaces and, of course, indulge in Italy's finest food.
