Meet the TV gardener on this four-day trip that takes in some of the county’s delightful houses and gardens

The county of Hampshire has everything: seaside, cities and wonderful gardens, and you'll see its highlights in full bloom next summer on this fabulous four-day trip. You'll be joined by one of Hampshire's favourite daughters, Charlie Dimmock, herself a TV gardener.

On your four-day trip you'll discover the most appealing gardens Hampshire has to offer, at the peak of their summer glory. During a special tour across the county, you'll be joined at Exbury Gardens by Charlie Dimmock who will offer her gardening insights and then entertain you with a talk on her experiences as a TV gardener and some great behind-the-scenes stories and anecdotes.

You'll have the chance to visit Bramdean House, a lovely five-acre garden famous for its mirror-image herbaceous borders, and the Sir Harold Hillier Gardens, whose unique collection of plants makes this one of the most important arboretums and nurseries in all of Britain. Then there's Exbury Gardens, which boasts an equally fine collections of trees and shrubs, not to mention a wonderful miniature steam railway.

A more intimate experience is provided by the privately-owned gardens at Colemore House near Alton, a four-acre garden laid out in rooms with many unusual plants, and at Little Court, a period walled country garden of great appeal. The tour concludes at the Longstock Water Garden, whose nursery will provide you with perfect souvenirs from this short summer break.
